Went fishing late this afternoon and it turned out to be the only day we have not caught anything substantial. Left the Q behind and took the Panasonic as I didn't want to be changing lenses. I was happy with these shots. Mornington Island is a remote Aboriginal community. Life there is a bit different but it is still a special place.

Sunset

The pylons at dusk. The barge that resupplies the island ties up against these.

The sun went down but the light still lingered on the water

Thanks for the comments. We have been here a week and the first few days were mostly low overcast with no sunset light. Then we had two days of strong wind and absolutely cloudless skies which doesn't make a great sunset either. Today the wind dropped, the water calmed down and there was just enough high cloud to make it interesting. Yes, the light was right ... but it wasn't down to any skill I have!
