A stunning sunny morning here, so I had to put my macro + TC combo on the K-3 and go hunting. I found my prey !!! Handheld, and cropped to define the little critters " beauty." Thanks for peeking.

It was lovely in Melbourne this morning Rod. While I'm coming to terms with the macro - TC combo, I am having to practice " A LOT !! ." The flies here are not skittish at all at the moment, so make excellent little models for me. Thanks for the positive comment mate.

Peter, we haven't had many sunny morning this winter (and spring hasn't started off any better).
We had 19mm overnight and woke to grey skies again.
The ground is saturated so whatever falls has to run off, (or just lie on the top).
It is the wettest season that I can remember.

Maybe you need a holiday down here Rod. I know what you mean about the grey skies though. We have got solar panels on the roof and we have a very poor return this Winter. Hope things pick up for you mate.

I have a saying; "the best view of Melbourne is in the rear vision mirror"

I lived down there for the whole of the 70s.
I was happy to leave.
(There are things one can do in Melb that are unavailable up here. A few years ago I was given a whatif voucher as thanks for a job I did. We actually used it in Melb: did all the things we didn't do when we lived there!!)

I think the colder weather here at the moment is why they are happy to sit still in the sun.
