Rotterdam Subway
Posted By: Syb, 07-23-2008, 05:02 PM

This is one of my first intentional abstract photos, hope you like it!

At least I do.... it was taken in the Rotterdam subway station of Wilhelminaplein.

I like it too... but I'm a sucker for subways and abstracts.

Nice shot Syb, I like the way the figure seems to be looking up at the light source.I also like it cropped on the right to get rid of that light source, it also makes the black diagonal intersect the bottom right corner which I think adds some mystery to the image.

I like abstracts shots. Don't do them well myself. Nice work. What I really like is the lines, curves and shade of green/yellow and pale blue. Good stuff.

Very nice.

the color combination of the wall and, i guess, a person moving past, togheter whith the lines, makes it interesting to view. The light on the right could help situating the perspective. However many interesting crop options with all the lines in the walls/roof.

Thanks

Tried to improve by cropping, after Gary's suggestion. How about this?

I think Gary's suggestion and your crop helps the image. Looks good that way.

I like the cropped version! Lines and curves makes perfect geometry.. and there's still a lot of abstract in it.. Would you also try to mirror it?

I like photos like this in series.. Do you have some more shots?

The crop looks nice with the diagonal line from the corner, but on the other hand som of the depth is lost when the upper part of the photo was removed.

Isn't collaboration wonderful? Now could you put the two images side by side so that there truly is a mirror image please?
