In the 60's when I was a tot, there was a high end clothing brand for kids called Ladybird and my mother used to save up to put me in their gear so a lot of my clothes had ladybirds on the label.

I think the larvae are the coolest. I'm hoping to seem some this year, would like to photograph them.

I was surprised to see them on that palm leaf because it doesn't get pests. I thought it was quite a cool image. Maybe they were using it as a shower block.
I'm actually quite proud of #5, the way the drops of water mimic spots on the ladybirds back, maybe I should call it 'the Emperor's New Clothes'. I might try cropping it as a portrait.
