Testing three new (to me) lenses
Lens: DA12-24mm, FA31mm, DFA150-450mm Camera: K-5, K- Photo Location: The Netherlands
Posted By: Fries, 10-04-2016, 06:03 AM

It looks like i've been on a bit of a shopping binge... I recently added the DA12-24 (second hand), the FA31mm (new) and the DFA150-450 (new) to my arsenal. Apart from rationalizing those purchases with al sorts of complicated arguments the best way to see if I did the right thing is using them. Three totally different lenses and that shows...

Cheers,

Remco

1. Log on a beach (DA12-24mm)

2. Fenced in (DA12-24mm)

3. View from nowhere (DA12-24)

4. I love horses (FA31mm)

5. The horse loves me (FA31mm)

6. I love coffee (FA31mm)

7. Autumn sun (DFA150-450mm)

8. Caught (DFA150-450)

9. Growing beef (DFA150-450)

I'd be living in the outbuilding if I did that, enjoy them.

Thanks Mike! I feel blessed that I am able to acquire these lenses for my favorite hobby although I do expect to get payed every now and then for using them.

I will! There are some benefits to not being in a relationship...

Janse, thanks! I have never spend that much money on my hobby in one go so I'll better be producing decent shots with it.

Cheers,

Remco

That's one way of looking at it, like your style.

That's one way of looking at it, like your style... just thinking that Lady Kerrowdown may not see it that way. .

Ha! But I am guessing you already have most of the lenses you want and have developed a healthy working relationship with them. And that without doing damage to your relation with Lady Kerrowdown. Which is a achievement I can only applaud.

In fact my "Ladies" were in a strong working relationship with me before Lady Kerrowdown was on the scene, albeit apart from the odd one.

No justification with your purchases needed with shots like Remco. Money well spent, and the lenses extremely well used.

Thanks! If you ever find yourself on the other side of the big pond between us you are welcome to try them.

Thanks Peter! I don't have any buyers remorse at this moment, but this week my car which has done 386.000 kilometers until now is scheduled for some regular maintenance... I hope the bill won't be too steep.
