Future Butterflies

These parsley worms are the caterpillars of the Eastern Black Swallowtail Butterfly.
I guess we'll have to plant more parsley next year to have enough to share.

I'm going to say that I like the third one best because there is so much in it. I really like the perspective and DOF in the first one though.

Great shots. I've seen a lot of bug macro's but not many get the feeling of perspective you captured with these. Doesn't hurt that these creepy crawlys are looong.

Nice shots.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Since someone PM'd me and asked the question, these were shot with the only lens I own, the Tamron 18-250. Not bad at all I'd say.
These guys are voracious eaters. Watched one eationg a parsley leaf this morning and he made short work of it in no time at all. It really does remind you of a logging operation.

Love the perspective, but as you can see from my avatar I like caterpillars and butterflies.

Hey Bill... I like the 3rd one best. Very nice depth and the additional catapillars place the primary one in context. Very well done!
