As a first post on this forum I would like to show you one of my macro shots I've took during august basically right after I've bought the K-70. About the subjects. Those two hoverflys were always flying around together. If one of them was sitting on a flower the other one was either flying above the other one or was sitting close by. I hope you like it.

Wow - that is truly amazing! Great shot, and impressive technique (coupled with the K-70, that's quite a combination!!)

Thank you. Im happy that you like it especially after the fact that Ive just started in early june with photography by buying a middle class bridge camera. The camera was alright for standard photography but soon I just reached its limits especially in macro so Ive decided to go full in and buy a DSLR camera. In august then it happened and I've ended up with the new K-70 in addition with the Pentax 100mm Macro lense. First it was a little bit frustrating to get into all the features and learning everything about setting up the aperture,ISO and shutter speed but some tutorial videos on youtube got me into it and now it just makes a ton of fun.

Didn't realise that they retracted the undercarriage up like that, cracking image.

Great shot, well done. Did you use the built-in flash?

Thank you and yes I used the built in flash otherwise its almost impossible to catch them during flight and get a sharp image.
