Grackle 2
Lens: 560mm APO triplet scope Camera: K20

The kind of bird shot where the real world lighting is so difficult, but typical, for the birder.
Back in the day the nature photographer Eliot Porter did birds with a 4x5 and a pickup truck full of strobes.
Thank god for digital and Photoshop.

Nice shot. In the right light they are such colorful birds.

Yes. With that iridescence they are one of my most subtly colored birds. All they have to do is move about and they change colors.

Difficult to capture that much color. Very nice.
