Two days of feeder shots...
Lens: Tamron SP AF 300 2.8 and HD DA 1.4 TC Camera: K-1 and K-3 Photo Location: My back yard

Yesterday, K-1 and Tamron SP A 300mm ƒ2.8 and HD DA 1.4 converter, because 420 mm and ƒ4 is sweet.
I went with the K-1 because it was a low light kind of day and I knew the ISO would be stretched. I didn't think it would be stretched to 3200 ISO, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Today with the K-3 and the same lens combination. On the K-1 it's a medium size bird set up, on the K-3 it's a small bird set up.I had much better light and some smaller ƒ-stops for more DoF.

I went out today because I saw the White Crowned sparrow, but siteings of anything were scarce... only about 4 Junkos instead of 40, no other sparrows. But there are two white breasted nuthatches. I'm guessing a mother and baby. We only had one last year. And of course the Jays, Squirrels and chipmunks were chasing away the birds I'm hoping to photograph.

Good sharp, detailed shots with great Bokeh backgrounds. The K-1 and the Tamron Lens make a good combination.
