Went looking for it... not arrived in the Highlands proper yet, distinct lack of reds..

The astronomical fall (Northern Hemisphere) 2016 began on Thursday, 22nd September 2016 and ends on Tuesday, 20th December 2016, perhaps no one told nature.

Beautiful pix.

Out here (Canadian Prairies) we went out last week looking for fall colour.

We found it, but not on the trees. The colourful leaves were in abundance, but all over the forest floor. High winds, cold temps and lashings of rain in the past couple of weeks will do that.

Isn't it great when the weather is nice?

When I lived in a colder climate I always loved these kinds of pleasant surprises.
