Scenes around Gundagia NSW
Photo Location: Gundagai Australia
Posted By: Bruce Clark, 11-03-2016, 08:02 PM

A few scenes from around the Murrumbidgee River at Gundagai take on a recent road trip.

1. Lovely old homestead overlooking the Murrumbidgee River.
2. Rail bridge opposite the homestead. Now abandoned. Pano made out of 5 shots and treated in NIX software
3. Abandoned road viaduct across the flood plains. I am too young to remember but I probably crossed this when our family moved from Victoria to Queensland in the late 1950's
4. Pano of flood plain showing the road and rail viaducts crossing the flood plain
5. Another view of the road viaduct
6. Rail bridge and dead tree.
7 Rail bridge after sun down.

That bridge can only be a flood or two away from the end of its life. I crossed that one in the 80's.

Great series Bruce.
I first crossed the old timber bridge 2nd November 1969 (day 2 of married life!)
I think it was decommissioned in about 1976 (IIRC)
