Tropical storm and lightning
Lens: Sigma 50-500mm Camera: Pentax K3 Photo Location: Nambucca Heads Aus ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/4s Aperture: F4

Tropical storms have started pre summer up north in Australia with late evening light storms across the ocean, this one was particularly wild bringing down trees and roofs. Had my tripod and camera on my front deck that overlooks a nature reserve, retreating for safety after every flash of lightning...

A great shot of this horizontal bolt, its always the vertical stuff we get around here, unless of course I've fallen over as I'm taking it.

Did you use a lightning senor or free hand it. Quite impressive.
