Well done mate. Video certainly takes the guess work out of getting a still image that manages to capture a lightning strike in it.

It does. Tried the long exposure with neutral density filter no luck. The better half gets a lightening struck at 200 hundredth of a second. Go figure.

Spectacular capture! Great idea to shoot video and hunt for the best image later. I never have that foresight when faced with a lightning storm! lol

I've never been any good with long exposures for lightning, this is a good fall back idea.

I was not aware that lightning Storm clouds had a nose. Thanks for sharing this most excellent shot.

Don't often see the storm front/rear from our front door, but this one did give a display.
