The Super moon is a great happening once in a great while but give me anytime a sunrise or sunset when God feels like painting.--charliezap

I do like the moonshot charliezap because of the surreal feeling it gives in this shot.

Thanks Em. The super moon is nice but the sunsets can be gorgeous.--charliezap

Yeah but sunsets happen every day, granted not all of them are spectacular. Supermoons only happen about every 411.8 days. The likelihood of a spectacular sunset is much higher than a superb supermoon.

We are talking about marginal differences, though, like how close in time the full moon is to perigee. My understanding is that the term "supermoon" was coined by an astrologer, presumably to support some bogus prediction or other, but I hear we're living in a post-fact world now, so that means we're right even when we're wrong.

I'm with Charliezap on this one, though. Unless you're in the right place at the right time with a long enough lens, the whole supermoon thing is vastly over-rated, and even then a slightly longer lens is going to give you much the same effect at other times.

Lovely shots Charlie. Yes I love sunsets too, sunrises are a bit early most days.
