Out of context portrait

This picture is taken out of it's context. Still, is it possible for you to post a oneliner about your first impression: What do you see?

I appreciate any first impression comment.

Thank you,

First impression? Punk (you know, oldskool punk, dyed mohawks, leather & chains and stuff) kid caught off-guard, perhaps somewhere backstage or in the hallway, away from the crowd.

That was the first split-second impression.

looks more like a girl to me, lips are rather feminine, and in a dark room (or high, as pupils are dilated)

Cancer victim who just completed the 9th cycle chemotherapy, complicated with delusion of gender confusion ...

p.s. this is a very sharp photo! The eyelashes are really sharp in deed and the face gave that raw look to it. I wished I could have that opportunity to snap a shot like this!

Life is a vain empty place without the one true love (agape). Thats my thought on it.

Everything about this image is ambiguous. Male or female? High, or was it a dark room and no time for the pupils to contract? What is he/she hiding about (or from?) him/herself with the extreme hair and makeup? The expression is very guarded. I see someone holding the world at bay.

Believe it or not, all that is my first impression - a lot went through my mind very quickly. Compelling photo!

Thank you for the inputs, it's actually interesting to me. Any more? Just let me know what strikes your mind.

roentarre: You can take this picture... just brake the rules a little and smack the flash right into the face of the poor victim. Then remove the flash and sharpen away the AA filter softness. Here is a 100% crop:

I wasnt quite sure how to comment on this. It makes me want to study it, but is kind of disturbing at the same time. Great picture though, very sharp!

My impression as well, and I'm struggling to be optimistic about the end result.

Seriously, my first impression was: think of the awful music this guy/gal must listen to.

My first thought was "androgynous" - my second, after reading the thread, was "probably would have some interesting musical choices to recommend" (my ipod has very eclectic musical choices, some of which would surprise a lot of people I know)
