Back from Summer Camp!
Posted By: ve2vfd, 07-30-2008, 12:34 PM

Spent a week at summer camp with a small group of Scouts from my troop, and though they kept me busy I managed to take a few photos...

Just a random flower along the trail...

This little rascal was living under my tent platform!

And the butterflies were starting to come out...

And now a few more "campy" pictures!

It rained EVERY day so the W60 came in handy

When it wasn't raining the boys enjoyed the climbing wall

Lots of fishing! (we had a makeshift dock at our site!)

I played with the "W60 at the end of my monopod overhead" trick a bit...

The boys also enjoyed archery, but some were not too good at it

And here is one of the very few pics of me... I brought my bow up.

And now I am back to work resting from my week with the boys

The moth and the squirrel are my favorites. Nice catch light in the eye of the squirrel.

Thanks! The "squirrel" is also one of my favorite pics.

The squirrel is actually a chipmunk, I got him with my 55-300 @ 300mm f5.8 ISO 400.

I agree! The squirrel shot is exceptional . . . . and that's coming from someone who's not generally taken with animal photos.

Been there and done that - got 6 of the T-shirts, but I've never been able to take photos for myself!

Love them all.

Sailor ... Thanks! I did my best to focus on mr chipmunks eye, seems it turned out ok!

Monochrome ... He he he, I made it a priority to lug my camera around, and the boys families really enjoy seeing pics from their kids at camp.

Daacon ... Thanks!

Peter ... He he he, I'm sure Mr. Chipmunk accepts your apologies!

Devisor ... The "boy in the rain" is actually my first real "wet" pic taken with the W60, the butterfly was taken with my 55-300.
