Taken with SAMSUNG GX-1L with 18-55mm kit lens. In Macro mode.

18-55 Kit lense has macro mode?
Is this different than the kit lense that comes with the K10D?

Oooh, I wouldn't want to be that close to that thing you just pictured. Just about anything that stings for that matter. Maybe that's why I like doing macros of cut flowers

Look at the jaws on that thing!

That's a great shot.

I too am surprised the Schneider lens has a macro?

Nope this is the Pentax 18-55 DA that is supplied as standard with most Pentax camera's. With the Samsung models it's just a rebadged version but exactly the same in all respects excepting the name.

It's a Pseudo macro I guess as the focusing on this particular lens goes down to 0.25m (0.82 ft.). I used the macro mode on the camera.
