F-111c a3-142

A3-142 gate guarding. Captured before the gloss gets baked off (which generally doesn't take too long). I wouldn't object to my taxes going towards a decent roof for the aircraft standing in front of this base. Given the base is a technical training facility, they'd be advised to put a proper scheme over the Sabre and Mirage; they look terrible.

You should have moved a couple of mm to the right to get it symmetrical.

#1 is fantastic. The dramatic shadow really add to it.

Awesome photos of a classic warbird--I suppose your Aardvarks have been replaced by F/A-18's in your inventory? (With the SE Pacific becoming a Chinese lake, y'all might feel the need for a bit more thump--though of course I hope you never need it.)

Fantastic shots of a great aircraft. And, yes, they should give it proper shelter.

Think you need to recalibrate your measuring apparatus.

Both are cool photos, but the first one is truly outstanding. I wish I could say I'd taken that pic!

Agreed!. I wish I'd taken it. But I've never heard it called the Aardvark in Australian service, just the F-111C. I'll have to ask a friend who used to work on them in the RAAF. I see in Wikipedia, that it had the name "Pig".
