I told myself I wasn't going to do it. The K10D was more than enough camera for me. Then, my dear friends asked me to photograph their wedding in September and I started getting nervous.
Ya see, my K10D has always back-focused. I've gotten used to it and have found ways to compensate for it with my portrait work. I'll focus on a nose or a cheek to get the eyes sharp. It's worked pretty well and I've had a fairly high degree of keepers. iEven so, it has remained a frustration.
But... a wedding.... there's no second chances. On July 30th, I ordered a K20D from amazon.com for $1040 with free shipping. Yesterday, on August 1st, I received it!
Being so used to the ergonomics of the K10D, the K20D just melted in my hands. I loaded up a battery and SD card and called out my models (Sofie and Chaya, of course!).
These are jpeg, straight out of the camera... I only had a few minutes to rattle of a few shots. I was overjoyed with the sharp focus, wide open!
