Best of 2016 Heron in flight

This is probably my favourite image from 2016, on a outing on my friend boat when we startled the heron which took off I particularly like the water droplets dropping from its feet

Yes, these animals are very interesting when they fly .... and catching the water adds interest.

I hate to startle them - but they startle so easily!
