I always enjoy images from what is without doubt my favourite city in the World and has been for very many years, probably some fifty plus years since my first visit there.

I'm intrigued at what I'm looking at under the red cover... is it a coffin awaiting transportation out to Isola di San Michele?

Indeed... in all the time I've been there I have never seen this before or had the opportunity to photography it.

That is what I inferred from the title - someone at final rest while the rest of the world continues going about its daily business.
