Squirrel's for Dinner!
Lens: Tokina AT-X AF 400mm f/5.6 Camera: K-30 Photo Location: College Park, MD ISO: 20000 Shutter Speed: 1/800s Aperture: F11
Posted By: Imp, 01-02-2017, 10:30 AM

A Red Tailed Hawk brought its dinner by the back of our house, and wasn't too concerned by my frantic picture-taking efforts

I feel quite lucky to have got such a shot! It was also one of the first times using my Tokina 400, and I'm not used to anything that weighs so much! My hands started trembling after a bit, and my wrists were getting quite tired. And it was cold. Because January. But jeez it was fun!!

Enjoy!

Did you win a photo contest ? BTW, I forgot to add, that the colour rendition, bokeh, framing...all top notch. Thought it would make an excellent wildlife photo in a publication.
