Best of 2016 Eagle with fall colors

Taken November 23rd. I don't think it was my best but it is my favorite shot I took in 2016. I was impressed that you could even see drops of water and blood from the fish.

This was taken at Conowingo Dam along the Susquehanna river in Maryland. Bald eagles are there year round but in November you can see a couple hundred there. People come from all over the country and you have to get there early to get a spot. It's amazing the amount of money in cameras and lenses you can see there.

I'm lucky I live close enough to go every month and in the summer when their is fewer eagles you will also see ospreys. I would really like to get a shot of a eagle stealing a fish from a osprey but they seem to leave them alone, but when a eagle catches a fish two more will chase it trying to get it.
