Black Gold - My Favorite Milky Way Shot!
Lens: Pentax DA 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AL WR Camera: Pentax K-50 Photo Location: Lake St. John, Ferriday, LA ISO: 3200 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F3.5

Black Gold: My first serious Astrophotography picture!

I took this photo in the Spring of 2016. I have had my camera for just over a year now and this is by far my most "Wow!"-worthy picture that I have taken so far. It is a nine-image panorama each shot at ISO 3200, f/3.5, 30s with my kit 18-55mm lens. I know it isn't perfect, but I am very proud of it!

Great shot, a very offbeat foreground for the Milky Way, but it works well!
