Moody Gardens' Rainforest Pyramid is a massive structure that encloses a multi-story, rainforest habitat which includes many examples of the flora and fauna characteristic of a rainforest. Early this week, we took a family jaunt to the pyramid, and - although I've seen and photographed this place a number of times - I brought along my new K-1 to get some practice with it.

Here are some "tourist"-type photos of the pyramid taken both outside and inside. The attraction was was built in the '90s but underwent a $25 million-dollar restoration after Hurricane Ike in 2008.
