Great shot with the M 400. I'd love to see Waterton Lakes, but I hadn't renewed my passport yet when I was up in Glacier a few months ago. I guess that means another road trip in the future!

Do you need a pass port to come by boat from Goat Haunt? Maybe it is just Canadians who can hike down to Goat Haunt and come back by boat without a passport, as long as we don't leave the designated area.

Yeah, I asked the rangers and they said there's no way I would be able to cross the border without a passport.

Outstanding Albert,

It must have been quite a thrill to see mother and cubs at such close range.

The old M 400/5.6 performed very well for you. I'll have to unpack mine and take it out for a spin.

Great shot! I truly miss living in the west.

but, the passport thing strikes me as weird. We can zip up to Canada whenever we want and don't need one.

The only troubles I have with the old girl are CA and PF. f/11 seems to be the sweet spot. With this focal length diffraction doesn't happen at f/11 much, that's a pretty big aperture physically, but the CA is cut way down. I'll use her wide open if I need to, and work at PP for the CA and PF. She's also definitely married to her three legged friend Manfrotto ...

You must have the "magic card" and use that instead of the passport. Every time US Immigration gets snarky, Canadian Immigration snarks back.
