The train
Camera: k3 Photo Location: East Lancs railway

I've had a couple of goes at doing my local steam railway but I've felt frustrated in capturing the imagary I have of steam trains from my youth when they were big noisy scary monsters.
This is the sort of thing I've done before


here are some different ways of doing it

Excellent train shots of that old steamer. Love both the action pics and also the abstract machinery photographs. Well done.

The second photograph...wide angle that shows blurred impression of 'speed' in lower part of picture and sharpness in coaches in background. Impressive.

Thanks for the compliments, I'm not really a train fan but I had a good try making a record of the nostalgia fest that these preserved railways are

I really like the second one - cool use of perspective and motion blur.
