Yesterday, we had our first-ever snow day with fresh powder in Wrightwood, CA - all of an hour-and-a-half away from home, which coincidentally, is about six miles from the coast. Recent rains brought a LOT of snow, and thanks to great weather and a holiday weekend, we weren't the only family exploiting the bountiful and rare fresh snowfall.
We
were the only family taking pictures with aplomb using an SLR - thanks to the K-S2 and DA 18-50 weatherproof combo.
I also broke out the Q10 for a bit, but after it got some snow on it, I decided to put it away before it got wetter.
I'm seriously amazed at the capabilities of the Pentax image processing - all of K-S2 the pictures are SOOC jpeg (using Reversal Film output) on P mode. The Q10 shots were also in P mode and Reversal Film output, but I switched to in-camera HDR for some of the pictures.
More pictures on my
blog.
(don't know why the rotation on some of the pictures isn't working...if anyone can help, please let me know!)
