what happens when you mock a Grackle??
Posted By: Marc Langille, 08-05-2008, 04:23 PM

Well, either he didn't take his meds, or he's really upset at me...

NOTE: in order to protect my larger images, I am forced to implement a watermark on them - my apologies for this!

Cheers,
Marc

That's quite a shot, Marc. Actually. he was trying to get you to take him home and feed him. He says each shot is worth a dinner or two!

I kept bypassing this thread because the title was too corny even for me. Well it was my loss, I should have reminded myself that you only post quality shots. Sorry Marc. It's a shame you missed the end of the tail by a feathers width.

Yes, the tail feathers were not quite there.... but it was too funny not to post... maybe he was upset with my camera settings...

Hmmm... I will have to check... I do have some other excellent keepers that I didn't submit. Wonderful detail!

That's a great shot Marc. Seems lots of people just dislike grackles but I get a kick out of them myself. They're like a cross between a crow and a mockingbird, and full of attitude. Thanks for the laugh.

This is without a doubt the best image I've ever seen of a Grackle. You've captured so much personality in this image! It's a stand out.

Thanks Venturi! I too get a kick watching them. Very full of themselves without a doubt!

Thank you LaRee... perhaps I'll post another sometime soon - that shot shows the beautiful but subtle colors of the Grackle...

I still like this one for the "personality" in the shot...

Marc

haha now that is good - if we can only interpret what he actually said now that would be story (although leaving it to the imagination is fun as well).
