Hey everyone..
Apparently I've been away for awhile, judging by my signature image that says I have a K110D and a K200...
Just thought I'd post a few recent pics.

I finally had the perfect evening to try this - light snowfall, no wind, temps in the low 20s so the snowflakes were good shape, and weren't trying to melt on contact.
These were all taken with the (awesome) Sigma 70mm macro lens, with an additional 72mm worth of extension tubes attached.

Setup: well camera + lens and extension tubes as described above..
A Cactus V6 remote trigger paired with a Cactus RF60 Flash unit, shooting into a small reflector set up next to a posing stool, which I had sitting out on my patio collecting snowflakes.
I put down a black foam sheet, the kind you find in the craft section. And the blue hexagons you see in some of the shots - that's glitter I had sprinkled on the foam to add some interesting colored bits.

Second one is just great, love the tone, framing and selective focus.

Great photos! As I was looking at them, I kept thinking: "What's the set up? I want to try that too!" Thanks for providing the set up.

I've always been happy to share.
Next time I'll take a pic of the whole light setup and all too.
