I havn't posted much this last month of so. Too busy with work and summer and travel.
This is a short series from Fan Tan alley in Victoria BC Canada. It is the narowest road in Victoria. Pedestrians only
It is part of Victoria's China Town, and was very close to the center of the Opium trade (not anymore!). People say it is haunted, and it is part of the "Hauntings Tour" in October.
Now it is a strange mix of tourism and tradition. During the day, it is a full of tourists, and locals. At night most of the lower shops close, but in the rooms above people play mahjong. If you are quiet you can hear the tiles being shuffled.
Goods arriving
Wicker for sale
A look at the shops down the alley.
A haircut and a ghost in one of the shops
Exit to the alley. How old is that brickwork?
Thanks for looking!
Comments and Critique most welcome!
Eric.
