great macros heinrich, especially the eye close ups.

what lens/flash combination (or other equipment) did you use to take these shots?

As far as I know only dolphins and humans derive pleasure from "special time". So you're only bothering them as much as if you're trying to shoot them normally (or maybe at special time they may feel more vulnerable?)

Nice shots nevertheless =)

Normally they are very flitty and very hard to photograph but today they seemed sort of preocupied and stayed much longer in one place. (I almost said in one position) LOL

Great shots Heinrich I tried to capture a moth that was flying around my lounge, very difficult.
I have never seen moths mating but it seems you got the money shot

Oh yes they will, it is not a very benefical butterfly but fortunately we do not have many of them.

These are European Cabbage Butterflies and they seem to be always on the move, very hard to get a picture of. Being a little preocupied seemed to slow them down a bit.
