Panning a Taxi in San Francisco
Lens: Sigma 28mm Camera: K-5 Photo Location: San Francisco ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/15s

Not a perfect pan, but close. If I had a bit more time, I might have managed to get a better shot.

What a great shot! The rush of the city.

I've tried panning a number of times and I've never come close to success, so my hat is off to you.

For a better result of panning - you can use longer range/tele lens. Increase of shutter speed would bring more sharpness to the picture.
But the secret of good Pan shot is the speed of the moving item and ability to steadily track it in your viewfinder - the faster it moves + the longer your lens the better is the pano.

I am not saying you can`t do a good paning with UWA lenses (i even tried with Fisheye), but from my experience - the more pleasing result is always at the tele end
