Thanks, I'm still getting to understand the "HM The Queen" (SMC Pentax 500mm F4.5) wee foibles.

Stupid question.....the top centre bird has something on the leading edges of it's wings. What are they? Some sort of tagging?

Not stupid at all, these fine birds were almost extinct here.

The reintroduction program involves the closer monitoring and protection, hence the wing tags.
