Crossing Bridges in the Winter of our Lives.
Posted By: Bob Harris, 03-04-2017, 08:40 PM

It's been about a year and a half since I last posted and thought I would join my old friends and give it another try. My wife has been very ill and it's been a fight for both of us which continues to this day. We are no longer on the road traveling, our motorhome is now in storage possibly to use another day. We purchased a home in a small town in Colorado near the Rocky Mts. so most of my photos will be from this area instead of photos that I used to post across the US. It's so nice to see that many of you are still sharing your photos and I'll enjoy going back and viewing them. Bob

Great HDR in this shot............very detailed.
I thought it had a HDR feel to it also EM, but all I did was tone map the image for the effect.

You have been sorely missed Bob. Glad to see you posting again. So sorry to hear about Terry and hope she is better soon. You have certainly picked a great spot to stop at for a while and I am looking forward to seeing photos of that area. Keeping you in our prayers.

I wondered where you had gone Bob. Sorry to hear about your wife. I hope you & she are able to travel about again - if not in the RV then small trips in the car. Welcome to Colorado! As you already know, there is much variety to photograph here. I too have been away from posting as my mom was in home hospice living with my husband & I. She passed away recently - a very peaceful ending. Beautiful shot you've posted - truly catches the spring snow in Colorado, wet & slick, not like our winter powder! Good to see you back. My best to you & your wife.

Thank you so much for the kind words and wishes Susan, we've entered a new phase and adventure to our lives and one day hope to hit the road again. If not we had over ten years of living life our way and it doesn't get much better than that.

thank you so much Joi, sorry to hear your Mother has passed but you were with her to the end and God Bless you for that. You're right about the smaller car trips, I think that will help Terri get her spirit up after the next treatments. We've found that uncertainty is a very unkind thing to have.

Hi Bob.

So sorry about your wife's illness. I was wondering what happened and where you went? I just retired 6 months ago and my wife and I are still trying to figure out life.

Wonderful image - I like it very much!!!

Our travels may have stopped but our adventure continues. Thank you for your kind words and concerns, we take each day and bless that we have it.
A lot of people retire and move to AZ, makes me wonder what you might do although there is so much to do there and surrounding states, you might be living in the best of all worlds. Have fun and enjoy your new adventure.

thanks so much Cliff, nice to have you back with us. We're learning our area here in Colorado and have found that no where we are, we can find beauty in this great land we live in. Hope you have a cool summer in Ridgecrest, I always liked exploring that area when I worked for SCE.
