Crossing Bridges in the Winter of our Lives.
Lens: 18-250mm Camera: K-3 Photo Location: Canon City, CO

It's been about a year and a half since I last posted and thought I would join my old friends and give it another try. My wife has been very ill and it's been a fight for both of us which continues to this day. We are no longer on the road traveling, our motorhome is now in storage possibly to use another day. We purchased a home in a small town in Colorado near the Rocky Mts. so most of my photos will be from this area instead of photos that I used to post across the US. It's so nice to see that many of you are still sharing your photos and I'll enjoy going back and viewing them. Bob

Hi Bob and that is a wonderful image.

Sorry to hear that things are not well and I hope and pray that they will improve. I have not been very active on the forum neither, bad hips and knees and waiting for hip replacement surgery. We sold our trailer about 18 month ago but at 84 I'm not complaining..

Take care,

Good to see you back here.

I wish you both better times ahead and being static for a wee while is not all bad.

It stops you spilling your whisky on the corners.

Awesome picture Bob, Sad to hear about your wife's issues. That's a great image, you're getting all creative on us.
Sometimes being in one spot lets you focus more on composition instead of just capturing the moment, and to really get to know an area. It can be a good thing.

You're right Norm, I've discovered so much right in our location and I decided to get the camera back out and enjoy photography again.

Bob, I really love that photo! The color of the wood against the starkness of the rest of the scene really works very well!

So sorry to hear about your wife's illness; my very best to her. I do hope you can post some photos now & then, as they are certainly worth waiting for!

Heinrich, my best to you also; at your age, you certainly give me inspiration! Best to you with your upcoming surgery.

Well done, sir. I so sincerely hope that everything will soon be back 100%. Getting a place close to The Rocky Mountains, is a wonderful start. Difficult to feel down with so much of The Creator's wonderful works around you.

God Bless,

Tony

thank you Tony, yes we believe as they say that this is God's country and I try to get out as much as I can to view the beauty in the area. My wife loves the view of mountains around her and we certainly have a lot of them in this area.
