The color is really interesting, nice shots. The action in the snow image is unique.

Thanks for commenting... snow action is very unique in all those places that don't have snow. Around here, I get them 3 or 4 times a year.

Really nice, Norm. I remember my Dad talking about grosbeaks when I was a boy, but I had no idea what they look like. Would these guys or their relatives made it down to southern Illinois?

Jer, you're confusing me with a bird expert.... you know one of those birdatholgist guys..
Around here we have Evening, Red Breasted and Pine Grosbeaks, I have no idea which if any might visit Southern Illinois.

But I'm sure it could be googled.

Dang! I tried to sneak around my laziness but you caught me out. Doesn't work with my wife either.

Ya well you caught me on a lazy day when I'm still working on my first coffee, that's never a good thing.
By 3 this afternoon I might even be interested enough to look it up.

Beautiful shots. At our old place we were fortunate enough to have visits from Evening and Black-headed Grosbeaks. We're hoping some of their relatives will find us here.
