Thank you Jer! Badwater looks alien indeed (as much of Death Valley...!)

Out of curiosity, what time of year was it when you took the picture? I didn't see such "pooling" during the summer I was there. Or is the trick walking someplace else entirely from the bad water basin spring area (or is it weather sensitive)?

Very enjoyable pic btw.

About one month ago, and I got my secret spots in Badwater - going from the classic tourist entrance, you'll never get to the polygons...

Thought as much. That's what I get for living so far away from spectacular spots like this, never going to find them with the time I've got.

Well, I actually am an Italian living in Italy However, I have spent a lot of time exploring Death Valley, where I have been many times - it's one of my favourite place on the planet!
