A National Hero
Lens: Pentax DA 16-85mm Camera: K-30 Photo Location: Norway, Trondheim

Hjalmar Andersen, the famous speed skater (At least in Norway) won 3 gold medals at the Winter Olympics in Oslo 1958. He also got 50 victories successively of the distance 5000m. Hjalmar passed away 2013, at a age of 90.

Thank you so much pjv, the only one interested in the old Norwegian National Sport Speedskating. No The Dutchs completely dominate the sport.

The sculptor did a great job of capturing the determination on this man's face.

Well photographed too of course. The layer of snow really adds authenticity..
