We spent some time driving over to Ragged Falls today. K-1 and DFA 28-105

On the way there
Pentax K-1 and Tamron SP AF 300 2.8, near Whisky Rapids in Algonquin Provincial Park

We were gone 6 hours, by the time we got home, the dogs were ready to go for a walk. K-1 and DA*60-250

They are upset when we leave, but, with a good walk, all is forgiven.

Great Photo Set Norm! I really enjoy looking at your work! Its like window shopping from home! 12th down is my favorite, but the moose shots are great as well.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the kind words. It can be a tough job making up a comment.

The Algonquin Dome is 700 feet higher than even 100 miles further south. If I went to Peterborough Ontario, 100 miles south it is 50ºf today. Low last night 0ºC, high 7ºC. Us, -14ºC overnight, +4ºC this afternnoon. I could drive down there and go for a stroll based the canal or the Trent River. Up here, the lakes are still frozen and we have 34cm of snow in the bush.

SO, ya, it's cold and icy here, but in two hours I could be strolling in the warm spring sunshine in a T shirt. Even driving 40 miles south to to Bancroft would be noticeably warmer. And they have Timmy's donut shops there, and shopping.

It's cooler here, but we don't have to go far to get milder temperatures.

Just cause she's the pretty one doesn't mean she should get all the credit.
