because he has never seen the yellow rivers and ponds filled with yellow pollen. This is taken from an impoundment of brackish water but it should give him an idea.

And I thought pollen was bad around here!

I can't remember* seeing this sort of thing in any of the several places we've lived - is this a usual spring thing in your neck of the woods, Susan?

Jer

*Of course, my memory ain't what it used to be.

Yep Jer. It really is awful. You just give up trying to keep your car clean and the patio furniture is a write-off until the season ends. Rain is our friend. I took a photo several years ago of a snake whose eyes were cloudy with pollen and got creamed because the eyes weren't in focus. We just wait it out. It does eventually go away then the temps spike to 100 degrees with 90% humidity and you still can't enjoy the outdoors.

Thanks EM. Not a great shot but it does highlight the pollen.

Thank you very much Susan. The time zone difference and just getting home from means I am just now seeing it. When you mentioned the pollen to me, I formed a mental image of what it would look like. HOW WRONG I WAS !!! This must be a terrible time of year for people with allergies or asthma. Thanks again madam for taking the time to show me this.
