Really well done, birds are so difficult to capture properly, don't know what size that alligator is but I'd be long gone

Superb photos!
Uploading here usually causes some loss of details ... don't ask me why but I find that too.

So you have a K-3 as well ?
I moved up from the K-5iis, which replaced my K-30, and the K-5iis was the bomb. It was sharp and fast compared to the k-30. But this K-3 is faster, sharper, more accurate, and just easier to manage for me. I may eventually move up to the Mark 2 if and when funds happen. but I am going to save up for a TC and the 100mm macro first

Yes, I have a K3 also! I moved up from the K10D (which I still have). I'm saving for a *300!

Im pretty happy with my *300, It was debatable as to being quirky on the K-5 iis of late, but I have to blame the old K5, it just had a lot of run time and things weren't working quite right anymore. I still may send it in ad the Pentax repair service says the double ghost I see in the viewfinder may be something in the lens needing a fix. I did fall once and bumped it once, and dropped the K5 with another lens on it. so while its under warranty I may send it in for a checkup, But as u can see the images come out sharp.
I posted 2 pics in the gallery which apparently don't suffer upload compression.
