Echoe and Cleo

Echoe (the model) and Cleo (my daughter's ball python) at a recent shoot...

I agree with the very intense comment. And nicely done too. Her coloring had to be hard to work with, with the burgundy hair and fair, freckled skin. Your lighting did a nice job making all that work well together. The snake color complements her coloring well too I think

I know you have to work with what snakes you have at your disposal, but I think a bigger snake, or maybe two snakes that size would look cool.

What lens(es) did you use for this shoot?

This shoot was done with the K10D and the Tamron 28-75mm. We do own 2 ball pythons and the 2nd one, Anthony, is actually a little larger than Cleo, but he is a mean SOB. Cleo is very well behaved but Anthony is very jumpy and will strike if you move too fast so isn't safe to work with. Pity too, because I agree that 2 snakes would have really helped this shoot.

I am considering hiring a larger burmese python from a local outfit called Reptiles Alive for a future shoot.
