Happened to spend some time shooting a flock of Brant recently.... early morning sun was just giving way to harsh mid day light.

Looks like a huge flock. Do they winter there?

They Do Susan, But all the years I have watched them here in CT , they are always far out.. Very wary . not at all like their cousins the Canadian Geese. This time they actually came in real close and were hanging out on the Rocks.. For me it was the equivalent of seeing a "life" Bird. Made my day..

There was quite a few of them too!
