Hi tcom,

Really nice shots.

It always amazes me what some people are able to shoot with a 200mm lens. I sometimes feel like my 480/960mm telescope isn't quite long enough, but people like yourself show me that maybe I just need try a different technique with a medium-long tele, rather than going for the "mega-reach" I normally think I need.

The "young swan" is my favorite.

Thanks for posting them.

Thank you Chris

I perfectly know what you mean. The photos taken with the DA*200 have been taken in areas where the birds are living close to people, so thez are easier to approach. But one still has to be careful.

Geat shots tcom - especially the sparrow. That 200mm looks like a winner to me.

Hi Dominique, that's more than a few birds
The young swan makes a really nice portrait and the duckling trying to get on the branch is really good as well. I like the way the branch divides the shot from corner to corner.

Nice bird shots Dominique
Are those loons in the first shot? I've never seen so many together in one place. You have a great spot for bird-watching there. I like the baby ducks they look like our mallards where I live.

These are mostly Great Crested Grebe in the first shot. In it one of the largest grebe colonies of Switzerland.

The baby ducks are mallards...

Nice shots Dominique! Are those ducklings already a second breed in this summer, so small and it is August?
