Little Joey playin' the blues
Lens: DA 18-135 Camera: K-3 Photo Location: Tasmania-King Island
Posted By: Unregistered User 8, 03-26-2017, 10:43 PM

This wallaby joey ( non-adult marsupial ) approached us without fear, stopping very close. I don't know what it was doing with its front paws, but I swear if I had given it an harmonica,
it would have belted out a tune. Thanks for having a look.

What a wonderful encounter and photo Peter, I assume you are in the wild with such an up close photo, either way this photo really puts a smile on the face, what a cute lil' guy.

Thanks for the kind comments Bob. From memory, this photo was a couple of days after my wife was lugging around all those flies !! Tasmania, and its smaller islands ( King Island and Flinders Island ) are wonderful places for landscapes and ( limited ) wildlife. Glad this little " Sonny Terry " gave you a smile buddy.

Nice one, Peter. I had a neighbour who sold up and moved to Flinders Island.

Thanks mate. I can understand why your neighbour moved. It is a stunning place.

They are mate, and all the wildlife on the island looked really healthy too. Great to see.

Thank you buddy. I have never seen a " wild " animal behave like this before.
