Caught this image of my daughter getting to grips with using a manual focus 50mm with her K5 - she is hoping to study both film and digital photography at 6th form, and seems to have a good eye for composition and photography in general...

Now come on, you need to post up HER shot of Dad and camera as well !

Nicely captured, the rim lighting is great, and yes, good to see the age old techniques of manual focus lenses being passed down. Now you need to get her a lens hood for that 50mm ....

Beautiful image! I hope she stays with it. My kids have some of my k20ds and their own bags...its great heading out for the day together taking pics.

The K5 is a good tool to learn with, I had luck using it with manual lenses as long as there was enough light to see the focus.
