Bald Eagle

Finally! I spotted bald eagles today. Here is the father ( I assume ) , and the mother was in the nest with two chicks.
I was going to shoot gators at the park today, but spotted the crowd on the side of the road watching bald eagles. I turned around and joined them. My lucky day
First time ever.
Unfortunately it was pretty far, it's cropped image.

Thank you!
Later, when the sun went down, and everybody left, I got a chance to shoot the couple together near the nest. This time with K-1, I pushed the ISO to 12800 to have at least 1/250 for hand held.

I know it's kind of stupid, but I'm really happy finally to catch them. I've heard about that spot so much, but could not find it myself. Only ones I saw the bald eagle flying near my house. Never since.
The last guy with Canon told me he was leaving because we can't shoot anymore. Yes, I can. Because I have Pentax. I have to admit I love to say that.

Both shots are wonderful. I really like the way he's grasping that itty bitty post with his talons in the first. Not something you see very often!
