Some more B&W from Venice
Camera: K3 Photo Location: Venice, Italy
Posted By: volley, 04-18-2017, 11:46 AM

I've posted a few B&W conversions a couple of days ago.
Here are a few more. Hope you like them.

This one is probably my favourite shot. K3 with DA 3.2/21 limited

K3 with Sigma 2.8/50-150

K3 with 1.8/77 limited

K3 with 1.8/77 limited ... but this one is a fake (well an alternative truth ...): the moon was copied from another shot, taken one day earlier at a different spot in Venice.

b/w really seems to accent the 'feel' of the city Norbert, all wonderful captures.

Very cool! I definitely like the first--is it from the Salute? (I'm afraid I don't know my Venetian geography that well, though my wife keeps threatening to drag me to the Biennale.) I would however like to visit the Doge's Palace, just to see the site of Casanova's famous escape...

Spectacular, my friend. All four are terrific, but that first photo is breathtaking, and I also especially like the third one. Good stuff, buddy.

Many thanks Bob, Venice is just a 10 ... 12 hour drive away. Maybe I should get on the motorbike over the weekend

Appreciate your comment, as allways! The shot was taken from the tower you see in the 3rd shot (San Giorgio Maggiore). The few Euros to get access are well invested for a beautiful view. You can see Santa Maria della Salute in the upper right corner, where Canale Grande meets with the Giudecca Canal.

Thank you, my friend. It is very easy to get good shots in Venice, even for me

Very impressive. I've been to Venice but wasn't able to get shots anywhere near as good as these. Well done.

Two domes across the river from each other.... I can't think of a place in North America you could see that. Very cool.

Sharp and detailed while the black & white adds that sense of drama.

Thanks for your comment Norm. There is even a 3rd one in the upper left part of the shot ... not to mention the numerous other churches which are not so easy to identify!
