wildflower weekend and big bugs
Posted By: timbo13, 08-12-2008, 03:52 AM

This past Sunday I went with my family to see a "Big Bugs" sculpture exhibit - (BIG BUGS - New England Wild Flower Society) - in Framingham MA. Here are some bugs and flowers I captured while trying to keep up with my two young sons.

daddy longlegs: (these sculptures are BIG, I was standing when I took this)

assassin bug:

wildflower: (didn't have a chance to record what these flowers were, sorry!)

another:

two's a crowd?:

if you enjoyed these there is more at: wildflowers - powered by SmugMug and: Big Bugs exhibit - powered by SmugMug

as always thanks for looking and let me know your thoughts

Those are cool big bugs. I also like the little bugs shot though it seems a tad underexposed. So difficult to get that right, as I well know.

thanks guys. The last shot was only there for a moment, I was shooting the yellow coneflowers, I saw the daddy longlegs, the bee landed, I took the picture, the bee flew away. The flowers blow out if I try to make the image any brighter in RAW conversion. I'm still happy with the shot. Maybe next time the bee will cooperate and stick around longer
